What’s the technique here? Neil’s doing his performance slowly? - it’s then sped up?

This is one of my favorite videos! :-D This video was actually shot on film at various framerates and telecine’ed intentionally out of sync (this is why you see the intermittent “jumping” as the film and video frames are intentionally mis-synchronized). It creates a really cool effect in this video! The editing was also simple, just cuts from scene to scene with a single fixed-setting camera. This is an excellent example of how to make a very simple cool video which highlights the art and talent within.

So the use of framerates meant that the performance could be performed in real-time? No need for Neil to act slow so that it can be sped up?
